Safety first, that's our motto, and it also applies internationally. Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) may seem easy to use, but incorrect use can introduce serious hazards. At Collé Rental & Sales we believe that the safe use of MEWPs is an important matter, and we are therefore offering a range of training courses to assist your personnel in avoiding and limiting the risk.

Category 1a: Static Vertical (vertical mast lifts for one person)
Category 1b: Static Boom (truck-mounted boom lifts, trailer-mounted aerial work platforms, spider aerial work platforms & telescopic (articulated) aerial work platforms)
Category 3a: Mobile Vertical (self-propelled scissor lifts & verticasl mast lifts for one person)
Category 3b: Mobile Boom (self-propelled telescopic (articulated) aerial work platforms on tracks or tires)


Do you often work abroad? Then the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) training course will be of particular interest, as successful completion of the course is recognised in 80 (!) countries as evidence that your personnel have been trained to the highest standard.

The content of the IPAF MEWP training course goes beyond what the standard requires, so that you will for example comply with Article 8 of the Arbowet (Health and Safety at Work Act). This is evident in both the theoretical and the practical elements of the training.

The following topics will therefore be covered:

Theory:

• Safety instructions and warnings
• Explanation of the potential risks
• Safe operation (from the ground and from the platform)
• Theoretical exam

Practice:

• Checking safety instructions and warnings
• Emergency controls
• Operation from the ground
• Operation from the working platform
• Placing the machine in operating position
• Safety harnesses

Good to know

The certificate you receive following successful completion of the IPAF MEWP training course is recognised by increasing numbers of foreign countries. This has many advantages. And it's also increasingly common for clients abroad to require that your operational staff hold IPAF MEWP training qualifications.
