Reference projects

At the Claus power plant in Maasbracht, one of the largest gas-fired power plants in the Netherlands, Collé's Projects division provided various services during the turnaround. This included facilitating temporary power supply, housing and lighting.

NedCar is a familiar term in Limburg and all around the Dutch motor vehicle industry. They were taken over in 2012 by VDL and production immediately switched to the manufacture of MINIs. Collé acted as preferred suppliers during the setting up of the new MINI production lines. A uniquely challenging project where Collé Rental and Sales played an important role with one of the most advanced vehicle manufacturers in Europe.

Collé made a very particular contribution to the construction of the National Military Museum in Soesterberg. The museum is built within a 45 hectare museum quarter, set amongst heathland and woods. The Army Museum and the Air Force Museum have been brought together on the site of the former Soesterberg airfield.

A German customer of Collé Rental and Sales took on the challenge: the construction of the Bharati research station in the Antarctic. A project characterised by extremes. Collé fitted out more than 130 containers, and a further 200 containers of equipment were shipped out. It was crucial that nothing was left out, as with the tight construction schedule it would be impossible to send anything on later. Collé supplied a number of machines to be used in the construction of the research station. These machines went literally right round the world.

The Coenplein interchange and the linked Coen Tunnel have been in the "Top Ten Traffic Bottlenecks" in the Netherlands for many years. With around 100,000 vehicles using the interchange daily this was sufficient motivation for the Directorate for Public Works and Water Management to take steps to resolve the problem. The chosen solution was the construction of a second Coen Tunnel. To avoid simply moving the problem elsewhere the roads around the Coen Tunnel have also been modified. The construction of the second Coen Tunnel is among the largest infrastructure projects ever carried out in the Netherlands. Collé Rental and Sales made a successful contribution to the construction of the tunnel.

Collé Rental & Sales made a contribution to the RoSPA Silver Award won by energy company RWE/Essent for their renovation work on the Claus C power station in Maasbracht. IAE Chair Maria van der Hoeven opened Essent's refurbished gas fired power station in Maasbracht at the end of June. The station is now among the largest, cleanest and most efficient power stations in Europe.
